May 23, 2014 by Adler Markoff & Associates
AMA Law criminal defense attorney Tommy Adler was recently featured in Sooner Lawyer, the magazine of The University of Oklahoma College of Law. An alumni of the University of Oklahoma College of Law himself, Adler, with his wife and two kids, enjoys traveling, cooking, fishing, golf and Oklahoma University sports. Besides his love of the outdoors, recreational activities, and life with his family, Adler’s exemplary client satisfaction ratings also demonstrate the time and care he puts into representing his clients on a daily basis.
Throughout his career, Adler has successfully won a dismissal or a not guilty verdict in more than 95 percent of his cases that have gone to trial before a jury. He is currently advising 80 to 100 cases, most of which involve first-time offenders and white collar crimes. His impressive background includes a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Public Relations from the University of Oklahoma, a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Oklahoma School of Law with a focus on Constitutional Law, and training in criminal defense litigation from the Western Trial Advocacy Institute in Laramie, Wyoming. Even more impressively, Adler says that the majority of his representations are fueled by his desire to show his clients that there is more to their lives than the immediate charges pending against them. His main goal is to give each of his clients the opportunity to prove that they deserve a second chance in life.
Tommy Adler has in the past worked as a Public Defender in the felony trial division in Oklahoma County where he represented more than 1,000 cases. He has helped train new lawyers at the Public Defender’s office and assisted in the development of the manual depicting the professional representation of clients. He has attended post-graduate training at the Absolute Criminal Defense Litigator’s Conference in Las Vegas, and has also attended the Pat Williams Criminal Defense Institute sponsored by the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association. Adler now holds the position of head of Criminal Defense at AMA Law in Oklahoma City. Although Adler has, without question, proven his ability to effectively litigate in a court of law, the criminal defense attorney finds his clients’ satisfaction to be the most rewarding aspect of his job.
