Tommy was named a 305 Top Attorney and has recieved the 2024 President’s Award for Excellence in Advocacy from the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association. He believes that a lawyer is only as good as his or her heart for their clients, and their passion for justice. Every case, big or small, is the most important thing happening in the client’s life, and he tries every day to make sure the work he does reflects that understanding. He places the highest priorities on being reachable, communicating clearly, and working together with every client to make sure that they’re always fighting for the very best possible outcome in their cases. These things have always separated AMA Law from the pack which consistently lead to unbelievable outcomes for our clients in their cases.

Interests

I’ve been married since 2004 and we have 3 incredible kids who are also incredibly different from each other. We stay very busy chaperoning them around the world as they grow and chase their interests and dreams. We’re active members of Antioch Church in Norman, OK and we’ve spent years going on mission trips both locally and internationally. I’ve also been appointed by the Governor to serve on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Indigent Defense System (OIDS) and enjoy collaborating with their leadership to ensure that the underprivileged in our justice system are receiving the very best representation and service that can be provided to them by OIDS. I also volunteer for numerous local nonprofit organizations who seek to expand access to justice and legal resources in our community. When we have a moment to breathe, we enjoy traveling, cooking, health and fitness, and following (mostly) OU sports.

Education

I was born and raised in OKC, OK and went to Bishop McGuinness High School. I went to College and Law School at the University of Oklahoma. Since graduating Law School, I’ve attended a number of intensive Trial Practice Colleges and Seminars learning (and teaching) trial techniques amongst some of the very best Criminal Defense Lawyers in the country. I strongly believe that the best lawyers never stop learning, and never stop improving their advocacy skills. Continuing to learn new things, staying on top of the latest changes in the law, and putting our Trial Advocacy skills to work for our clients is the pinnacle of our practice.

Experience

I’ve been admitted to practice law in State and Federal Courts in Oklahoma since graduating from Law School in 2003. I began my career as an Oklahoma County Public Defender, representing the indigent for a little over three years. From there, I opened the Criminal Defense Division of Adler Markoff & Associates Law firm in 2006 and have been with the Firm ever since. The Criminal Defense Division has now grown to 3 full-time Criminal Defense Attorneys and serves hundreds of clients statewide on a yearly basis. While I am humbled to have been recognized with several Professional Awards and Honors, I still get the most satisfaction and joy from the frequent calls, text messages, and emails that I get from former clients of mine (spanning decades of work) who reach out to me to let me know how well they are doing, and how the legal work I did for them changed their lives forever.
