During law school, Mr. Adler initially gained exposure to the practice of criminal defense law as a legal intern with the Oklahoma City criminal defense firm of J.W. Coyle. After graduation, Mr. Adler worked for three years as a Public Defender in Oklahoma County in the felony trial division. He represented clients in thousands of cases ranging from misdemeanors to murders. Mr. Adler left his service in the public sector to begin his career in private criminal defense as the founding attorney of the AMA Law Firm Criminal Division. Mr. Adler has been with AMA Law for more than 12 years and has been a Partner with the firm for nearly a decade.
Mr. Adler has been married for over 14 years and he and his wife Marissa have three beautiful and busy children. Mr. Adler and his wife are members of Antioch Church in Norman, OK. Mr. Adler enjoys traveling with his wife, golf, fitness, and following the OKC Thunder and OU sports with his son. He also enjoys cooking, coaching youth sports, and has participated in several mission trips to Haiti.
During his career, Mr. Adler has been successful in winning either a dismissal or a not guilty verdict for his clients in over 95% of his cases that have been called for jury trial. Mr. Adler is an alumnus of the Western Trial Advocacy Institute located in Laramie, WY where he studied criminal defense litigation under a host of the nation’s most respected criminal defense trial lawyers.
He has also attended post-graduate training at the Absolute Criminal Defense Litigator’s Conference in Las Vegas, NV and has regularly attended the Pat Williams Criminal Defense Institute sponsored by the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association. Mr. Adler has also recently been named as a “Top 40 Under 40” attorney by the prestigious National Trial Lawyers association.
