As a practicing felony trial attorney with the Oklahoma Indigent Defense System, Dan has successfully defended clients in a broad range of felony charges in Custer, Woodward, and Okmulgee counties. He then served as a felony trial attorney for the Tulsa County Public Defender’s Office, where he successfully obtained multiple “Not Guilty” verdicts through jury trials. His jury trial work has been recognized by his employers for his effective use of creative and innovative trial tactics and strategies. Dan has also been successful in securing numerous pre-trial dismissals for insufficient evidence and constitutional challenges to police work, which led to evidence suppression. Dan has represented thousands of clients in his career and handles all types of criminal charges. He takes great pride in the work he does for his clients and his extensive criminal defense experience throughout the State of Oklahoma.
Dan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, with distinction, in Letters from the University of Oklahoma. He earned his Juris Doctor degree with distinction from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. In post-graduate training and education, Dan is a graduate from the National Defender Training Project’s Trial School, a rigorous program where attendees receive felony jury trial mentorship from some of the best practitioners in the country.
In his free time, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife, playing Frisbee with his dogs, and fitness and strength training.
