DRIVER SUSPECTED OF INTENTIONALLY STRIKING WORKER
Kelley Avenue is closed between Hefner Road and NE 122 while construction workers install an underground water line on the west side of the road. Police responded to a call from the area of NE 121 and Kelley Avenue, where a construction worker told police a man in a white Chevrolet Impala drove through the road closed signs and ran over Clayton Crawford’s foot. At that point, the man, later identified as Damian Dial, got out of the car and exchanged words with Crawford. The driver got back into his car and Crawford yelled at his co-workers to note the license plate number on the vehicle. The driver then drove the car forward, knocking Crawford into the hood and causing him to roll off the hood about 20 feet from the point of impact.
