A deadly six-car collision took place on December 7th in Norman, Oklahoma, killing two drivers and injuring two others. According to the police report, Tompkins was traveling south on Flood Avenue at about 7 a.m. when he crossed into the northbound lanes and struck the Kia driven by Jester. Four additional vehicles were involved in the subsequent collision, police said. Two Norman residents, 48-year-old David Lee Gibbs and 38-year-old Robert Thomas Lorrah, suffered injuries in the fatal accident and required hospitalization, although they were treated and released several days later. Two other Oklahoma drivers were involved in the pileup but did not report any injuries. After the crash, Oklahoma police officers secured a search warrant to retrieve data from the vehicles black boxes, said Easley, who also noted that the collision remains an open investigation under the direction of Master Police Officer S.
